Keith started his passion for music when he was in secondary school.
After leaving school he decided he was going to join the army in
1971 and he became apart of The King's Division. Which later became
part of the Yorkshire Regiment, which Keith served as a Green
Howard. Then 1990 he married his lovely wife Diane, who went on to
have 2 daughters, Samantha and Claire. During Keith's life he became
a popular man in the music industry. He played with many bands
across the country and helped them out wherever he could. Some of
the bands he played with were: Langborough Brass, Marske Brass Band,
Northallerton Silver Band and Billingham Silver Band.
Keith then in
2007 set up Cleveland Concert Band which was started with a small
group of musicians. As the years went on Keith took the band from
strength to strength, helping them thrive and helping them to be who
they are today. After 12 long years of been the man in the middle,
Keith decided it was time to hang up the baton in 2018. Sadly less
than a year later he passed away after his battle against cancer. He
is solely missed throughout the band, but his memories live on in
the music the band plays. He will be forever missed.
