| Cleveland
Concert Band
was formed in January 2007 by a very small group of dedicated musicians
who came from Middlesbrough, Eston, Northallerton, Guisborough, New
Marske, Redcar, Dormanstown and other places surrounded by the Cleveland
Hills in the North East of England. We have grown steadily in numbers since
our first rehearsal of only ten players. We are a very happy and content
team of part-time musicians who enjoy the great company of
likeminded people of all age groups and abilities. |
|
The band actively support local charities
and groups who would like to raise
money for good causes. We are a very happy band that will always give our audience a
great concert to remember, for all the right reasons. The band can perform music
such as the Old time songs, Dance, Jazz, songs from the top musical shows as well as perform
some of the modern pop songs to make most occasions that bit special. We
have something for every member of the family to enjoy and we don't charge
a fortune for live music like some concert windbands. For
details about our new C.D. please see the News Page. |

| Many of our playing members bring with them vast
amounts of experience from playing with other bands or orchestras, we even
have ex-military musicians within our group. This Windband is made up of people
from all walks of life and age groups. Our youngest player was just 9yrs
old when they started and our oldest is into their 80's. Every member of our band
is willing to help others to improve in their ability to play good entertaining music. That's what
makes this band stand out from others, no matter what the age or ability,
the Cleveland
Concert Band are a happy
bunch of friendly musicians to be associated with and enjoy what they do.
You don't have to be a great player to sit in on a rehearsal. It doesn't
matter how long you have been playing just as long as you enjoy music and
can read to a moderate standard. Don't be shy, give us a try. |
